BIYE -Be in your element, actually came about in lockdown (the first one!) My background is in Events Management and when lockdown happened as a Freelance Events Manager-there was nothing to manage. I found myself (like so many) in turmoil in the thick fog of uncertainty when Covid hit, and not having a sense of purpose was quite damaging to my health. In the 1 hour exercise we used to get I would take my 2 yr old son for a walk in the woods to explore and pick up sticks! Those sticks would turn into wands, swords….and macrame!
A Bit About Macrame
Now if you are not sure what macrame is. Think back to the 70’s and now the current day with the knotted cord that makes plant hangers, wall hangers etc.
I had basically admired this craft from a far but had no idea how to do it. Now with so much time on my hands I went down a You Tube tunnel and taught myself. I was rubbish at it, but thankfully got better. And although the feeling of achievement when I nailed a knot was lovely, it really was the simplicity of the mindful moments and the sense of purpose. That really did help me not just thrive, but survive. This feeling felt too good not to share. I started a ‘Macrame Army’ by gaining over 1000 followers on instagram.
I taught people isolated and alone online mindful macrame classes. The feeling that gave me at the end of a class or a course was like no other feeling I had felt before. It blew even my biggest achievements in events with 10,000 people having the best time because of you- that didn’t even come close to how incredible this felt.
BIYE Was Born
I knew I had to create a well-being events company. BIYE – Be in your element, was born. Well actually the reality of that was much longer. I had the idea of how life really is as simple as the 4 elements of life. Yet we now found ourselves in a face paced, uncertainty and very technology led way of life and I just thought we all need a little reminder that we have the control and all we need around us and within us, we just need to tap into it.
This then led to 2 years of searching for the ultimate tribe of ‘Well-being Warriors’. Whilst I went back to freelancing work and then in late August 2021 I said hello to the world with BIYE and with 50 Well-being Warriors alongside me. We started to offer amazing and unique well-being sessions, workshops, programmes, experiences etc to businesses, individuals, adults and children. It is my passion to create moments where you can really be in ‘your element’ and everything we create is bespoke to help you along on your well-being journey.
BIYE – Be in your element is special because it is made from love. Secondly BIYE is all about the people- the people who make it so special. And our Well-being Warriors are as Tina Turner says ‘Simply the Best’.
Connection
We have found and connected with incredible humans. Humans who are on the same journey as us. Humans that are passionately supporting everyone on their health and well-being. Not just supporting, but it is our real passion to hold your hand on your journey. And to also give you the tools to go it alone, so this service never feels like its ‘ticking a box’ .
It is created with you in mind. It is created with tools for you to apply into your everyday life and enhance your health and well-being. Also the people who we are lucky enough to call our clients. Without them believing and trusting us with the process we wouldn’t be able to grow. As we grow it has always been a true passion of mine to be part of the prevention as much as the cure for us adults, but also for our children.
What makes BIYE have its extra special sprinkle of magic. Is the fact that we have partnered with a charity called iheart. Iheart is a registered charity that supports young people, parents, schools and educators. By providing a range of specialised courses and programmes on mental health education, resilience and well-being. And at BIYE we donate 5% of all our profits and support their events.
